Fun facts

The Czech Republic Wheelchair Rugby team was established in 1993.

This is their first time qualifying since 2013.

A team without a high point player, they play a very strong key defence, which other teams found tough to break down at the Qualifying Tournament in Norway. Let’s hope they can make it tough for all of these higher ranked teams.

Filip Varton (2.0) is a former Czech Republic International Rugby Union player, so he will relish the chance to play at the Principality Stadium.
